One can not remain without engaging in activity anytime, even for a moment. Certainly all living entities are helplessly compelled to action by material nature. I don't want to be controversial, but I have right to express my opinion. I am reading many stories on objections from a community about singing VANDE MATARAM, National Song of India. (Not national anthem) I found some interesting things on it and I want to share it with my readers. One communal organization in India has declared ban against singing Vande Mataram, due to the song giving a notion of worshiping Mother India, which is unislamic. The song was written in 1876 and first it was sung on political meeting in 1896. The first two stanzas describe greatness of the country and later it will start comparing mother India to "Durg Matha". Please remember we are singing only first two stanzas. I attended art of living session today, much awaited session on Breathing Exercise, Pranayam and Meditation. Thanks to Kapil for introducing me to some meditation techniques. For those who don't know, Art of Living was found by Sri Sri Ravishankar in 1981. It is serving in more than 150 countries. He developed Sudharshan Kriya, its a form of meditation. We Breath in immediately after birth and breath out at death. That is the importance of the breath. So in short breath is life. Emotions have close relation with breathing. Some politicians in Govt, supporting Bharat Ratna for M F Hussain, I just searched on his profile and found that he is the communal crook with his art. This fellow drawn nude images of Hindu Deities Lakshmi, Parvathi, Sarswathi, Ganesh, Seetha and Hanuman etc., Isn't it a big list ? In fact he painted his mother and daughter with full clothes and Bharat Mata again nude. Well, the self supporting statement he gave for this is, Nudity represents Purity. Then, Mr Hussain, I can't wait to see purity of your Mother and Daughter. Contradicting to his own statement, In one of his interviews he said, he painted Hitler nude in a painting because he hates hitler. I just started reading another book "Self Matters" By Phillip McGraw. So far interesting, while reading few books we feel the book is about us, this is one of such books. Some quotes I gather from that book are as follows, more to come once I finish the book. The life which is unexamined is not worth living. Write down the 10 Defining Moments, 7 Critical Choices, 5 Pivotal People in your life. Not so stupid anymore, Not so young anymore, not so naive anymore. I never live without passion and fire, just because it is secure. Are you just keeping on ? Life is a bitch and then you die. Passion, Excitement and Confidence are the important medicine you need every day. Don't live live defined from "outside in" rather live from "inside out".
