K-Series

I am not aware as to how many viewer watch K series (Ekta Kapoor Serials) nowadays. But as per my guess almost all the women in India watch her serials. Almost for the entire day the ladies are glued in front of the Television. If there is any topic to discuss, that would be "what happened last night to Tulsi, Parvati". With the development going around in the country, we wish there were more channels that would educate the people around the country. I dont recall the year in which DD used to broadcast a programme where they taught the villagers on how to read and write. But that was a time when only DD was available. In early 90s Star Plus and Zee TV came in. This was a big revolution in TV world. I know no one is interested in watching all the DD programmes especially the one i mentioned. We would rather switch the channel as we now have 100s of options to surf. I remember when I was in Pune doing my masters, my land-lady wept bitterly for a week and did not eat pro

Satyam Corporate Governance ???

--------------------Anguish of shares holder / Ex-Employee------------ This is hot topic in the market now, Corporate Governance. Especially after Satyam - Maytas deal. As ex-employee of the company , i was thinking whether to write about this topic or not. But as a share holder i decided i can express my opinion......... Its purely my opinion no offense or defense. I am questioning the board as a share holder, as an ex-employee i am not commenting on policies or Principles of the company. Why Raju is being made scape goat for Satyam - Maytas fiasco. Its neither overnight decision nor discussed in the dark. It is discussed in the board meeting and all the board directors were present. Some guys are attending in tele/video conference. IT IS BOARD's UNANIMOUS DECISION, NOT AN AUTOCRATIC DECISION TAKEN BY RAJU ALONE. When Raju showed board the way the assets are valuated everybody is present in the meeting right ? once the investors started blaming, Directors started resigning. Best

Economic Hit Man

Every developing/under developed country need to know about these kind of guys and they should be careful with them to save the interest of their own country. There is no official post called EHM (Economic Hit Man), it is an unofficial job working indirectly for Developed countries and for the interests of Business tycoons. Exploiting the other countries and their economies. EHM is an agent of Capitalism. He makes made-up forecasts of growth for a country. Encourages the country to upgrade infrastructure with loans from developed countries capitalists. In this way 2nd (developing) and 3rd(under developed) world countries will be in the hands of 1st world (developed) countries. These officials will be working with World banks, IMF's and other financial institutes. They will encourages 2nd and 3rd world countries to take huge loans by showing them dummy data and forecasts. In one way they work for 1st world country governments, but paid by corporate tycoons , who are getting benefit

Cost Cutting !!!!!

Economic depression bought change in few million life's across the globe. It changed the outlook of companies, investors, employer, employee and lost but not least it changed the life style. If you can, name an industry which is not hit by Economic meltdown. There is Low (NO) confidence in market. As you know all businesses are links in cycle chain. If one link breaks it will stall the progress of others. The worst hit was received by Banking and Finance sector, not a surprise, as it is the place where it all started. Measures taken by some companies during this time: New recruitment Freeze Reduction in employee strength. (job cuts) Less number of promotions or No promotions (TCS, Wipro etc.,) Strict policy in Travel approval Sabbatical leave offers by employers to employees (Infosys & Satyam) Extension of Christmas & New year holidays. Forced leaves !!! (SAP) Variable pay portion become volatile. Less salary hike or No hike (TCS is best example followed by many others) No
