Hope everybody is doing well with their deeds. I guess this would be my last blog of the year. I don't want to write about what I gained or what I lost in 2010. I don't either want to talk about 2011. But I can tell you I am short of my goals. Take a break, chill out, life is long. OK, thank you all for reading through my blogs. I will try to spend more time at blogging next year. Next year I will have some surprise (its all about blogging) for my readers. I am working on it, but no results yet. As you all know Twitter is microblogging and real time information system. I just looked at the video of new twitter avatar, its looking cool guys. "Stay Hungry and Stay Foolish", told by Steve Jobs in a graduation ceremony. Indians and Chinese have the edge over the world because they are not just another fat ass in the world. Excuse my language. They can work their way off. This was the edge for India. Now its loosing its edge slowly. The new generations aren't hard working any more. Now a days generations have enough deviations so that they can not concentrate on success. It was not the case earlier. They can work for hours together for their success. Now they are lazy, they don't want to do the hard work. They are talking about something called life, which equates to less money and more life. On the other hand Chinese generations still fall under the category of stay hungry and work your way off. In the field of Software they have their Average work hours some where between 12-15. In India it is somewhere between 9-10. More and more companies are moving to China as the language barrier is getting closed.

Recently I have seen so many acquisitions from Google. It invested nearly $500M in social acquisitions. It bought Slide, Jambool for $200 Milliion and invested around $100 Million in Zynga. Since they are planning to grow is Social and it is the hot market. They started acquiring whatever they can in Social arena. Similar the case with Amazon, they bought Woot. They want to grow in online marketing division so they are doing the acquisitions. I rarely saw any acquisition in Indian IT companies. When some one posed this question to Infosys, they said they are looking for the right fit. I am surprised they haven't got the right fit in last couple of years. There are many concept companies which can add value to their business. At least they can think of consulting or Integration or small product oriented companies. They have huge pile of cash. On May 6th Special Court of Mumbai is giving "Justice" on 26/11 Mumbai attack case. Lets see the highlights of the justice... Total cost of the justice is Rs 100 Cr (Approx) Kasab, who is guilty is protected by 200 Indo-Tibetan Special Force. 166 People killed in the attack They created separate under ground route between court and jail for his travel. As everybody can expect he is going to get Death Penalty in this court. In 1993 Mumbai serial blasts verdict came just after 13 years. Comparatively this judgement is faster. His trainers just spent lakhs and trained him, we paid in Crores and 166 life's. Do you think we won the battle ? Kasab, can still go to High Court and Supreme Court. I cant imagine how many years it will take before he gets punishment. In fact the person who attacked on parliament is still waiting for his turn of death penalty. I'm not an expert to write comments on budget. But let me write what I felt. In the last 5 years we increased our defense budget by 70%. Our agricultural land fertility rate coming down to 30%. We achieved full agriculture independence in 70s with green revolution. Now India has fertility rate less than their neighbors like pak, srilanka,Bangladesh. Price of necessary goods incresed by 20% in the last 1 year in India. We need to concentrate on our basic requirements. One country (I don't want to name) is selling arms to us and as well as our rival country. They are looking at us like a buyer. In fact they are funding our enemies to force us buy more from them. We need to have strong plan to counter these techniques. Self sufficiency is key to our success. Hey world here we are coming , take our way or highway.

Its pretty interesting if you observe the Microsoft business operation model. As you know product companies business operation model is different from Service companies. I am familiar with business structure of Service companies. Here is my research on one of the worlds best technology product based company Microsoft. Their business is mainly divided into 5 core groups. 1. Client : This is about windows operating system. If I am not wrong, this one along with MS office is 50% of Microsoft revenue. Its dominant in Client OS market till date. Chrome OS, Mac OS , Linux might be some of its competitors. 2. Server and Tools : This is one of such businesses in Microsoft which is growing in double digit from last couple of years. This business includes Windows server OS, SQL Server, Visual Studio and other server related tools. Any one working in Dotnet would dream of going into this business in Microsoft. Bob Muliga is the head of this unit. Needless to say I dreamed and failed. 3.

There is a controversy over Pak players not being taken by any IPL teams in the auction. There is one film star & business man & Kolkata Night Riders owner started batting for Pakistani players. Well ...Well ... Well ... This is not about two Girls Padma and Ratna. This is about the awards govt of India gives to people excelled in their fields. Off late these awards became politically influenced. These awards became a tool to make people happy, whom they like. The standards of the awards definitely came down by giving it to people involved in scams and without proper background check. There are some folks who got all the three padma awards (Padma Shree, Padma Bhusan, Padma Vibhushan). Our beloved Bachan family got 3 Padmas (Amitabh, Jaya, Aishwarya) in their home, Only missing is Abhishek. I am sure he will also get it soon. I just watched both versions of "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara". First one is created for 1988 Independence day and the second one is created in 2010, Republic day.
