Mile Sur Mera Tumhara .....

I just watched both versions of "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara". First one is created for 1988 Independence day and the second one is created in 2010, Republic day. As you all know people didn't receive the new version well. There is lot of criticism about the new version rather I say filmy version.

Both the versions directed by same guy kailash Surendranath. You can check both the versions out here
Old one

New one

Old song plays for little over 5 mins, new one plays for neary 16 minutes. Apart from this some notable differences I found are as below.

In the new song except for 1 minute remaining 15 minutes its about film stars.
In the old song its about people , sports persons and film stars. In the new one its all about film stars and then a little about important things.
The new song focusing on film industry and their styles for most of the time.
You can see Sharukh filmy style, Salman shirtless fashion, Deepika short skirt, Shahid pub style etc., in the new song.

People definitely like film stars but not above the culture and patriotism. for 20 years people thought of this song as unofficial national anthem. Its representing the unity of India. Definitely they are not able to receive the latest filmy version.

Happy to see the clarity in the minds of the people about national cultural song and films. Thanks to Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara for giving a chance to show case the maturity of the people.

Happy Reading !!!

surya,
I think not just mile sur mera tumhara any revised versions will not work like the original.rehman's vandemataram is an exceptional case at this point.i am having a doubt
that celebs are promoting themseleves with this latest
versions.in this point i did not understand why deepika should come in this song with short skirt.
in what way she is proud to the country?.how we can get a
patriotic feel by watching her long legs?....many questions follows...
